Youth Off The Streets

Direct Marketing Coordinator

$80,000 - $85,000/hr

About the job

About our Organisation:

Youth Off The Streets is a not-for-profit youth organisation that provides safety, support and opportunities for young people to build a positive future. We offer crisis accommodation and housing services, alternative high school education, alcohol and other drugs counselling, youth justice support, life skills and employment programs, cultural support and community engagement, among other services. We focus on early interventions that empower young people and strengthen communities.

The Role:

We’re looking for a Direct Marketing Coordinator to play a key role in driving the success of our individual giving program, helping to raise millions of dollars for life‑changing programs that support children and young people experiencing homelessness. Reporting to the Direct Marketing Specialist, you’ll work closely with the wider fundraising team and the marketing and communications team.

In this role, you’ll help shape and deliver acquisition and retention strategies across a diverse mix of marketing channels, including direct mail, digital, telemarketing, SMS, radio and television. You’ll lead the execution of campaigns that acquire new supporters, strengthen relationships with existing donors and inspire lapsed supporters to reconnect with our cause.

You’ll also help create data‑led, audience‑centred campaigns and donor journeys that deepen engagement and bring supporters closer to the heart of our work.

Key Duties:

Lead the end-to-end coordination of key fundraising initiatives:

  • Including appeals, newsletters and regular giving acquisition campaigns – by developing timelines, crafting content and print briefs, overseeing live laser checks and managing the build and scheduling of emails, landing pages and donation forms.
  • Work with frontline staff and the Marketing and Communications team to source content and seek approvals.

Manage the telemarketing agency partnership:

  • Brief campaign objectives and scope, develop high-quality scripts and training materials, facilitate fundraiser training sessions, attend results and performance meetings, and conduct ongoing quality assurance to maximise donor experience and campaign effectiveness.

Manage digital fundraising platforms:

  • Brief ad campaigns to agencies, build ads, upload audiences and track results across platforms including Meta, Google and Bing.

Collaborate with Supporter Care Coordinator:

  • Help craft responses to supporter queries and work together to troubleshoot issues with donations or supporter experience.

Drive performance against core fundraising metrics:

  • Contribute to the achievement of income, acquisition, average gift and response rate targets through data informed decision-making and continuous improvement of campaigns.

Experience:

Essential

  • Demonstrated experience supporting high performing appeals and regular giving programs, with an understanding of the levers that drive donor acquisition, retention and revenue growth.

Desired:

  • Digital experience across social media, web and email platforms (eg. Mailchimp, Wordpress, Google Ads)
  • Experience with CRMs (Blackbaud)

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong project management capability, ensuring complex, multi‑channel fundraising activity is delivered on time, on brief and to a high standard.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple campaigns and competing timelines.
  • Exceptional communication skills, enabling clear briefing, stakeholder alignment and compelling supporter engagement across channels.
  • Confident and effective presenter.

What we can offer you:

  • Supportive, values‑driven team environment
  • Salary Packaging: $15,900.00 of your base salary tax free & up to $2650.00 meal & entertainment
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for you and your family
  • Self-Care Leave & Christmas Gifted Leave
  • Access to Fitness Passport
  • Pet friendly workplace
  • Hybrid work flexibility

This is more than a fundraising role; it’s a chance to use your skills to help young people build brighter futures!
