We are looking for an Ecommerce Content & Operations Specialist to help manage a best-in-class online shopping experience and drive online sales.
The Role
We’re looking for an Ecommerce Content & Operations Coordinator to support the execution, accuracy, and performance of JD Sports Canada’s online store. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring products go live on time, content is brand-aligned, and the digital experience performs flawlessly.
This role blends creative content coordination with ecommerce operations, perfect for someone who enjoys balancing storytelling with process structure. You’ll collaborate closely with merchandising, marketing, and customer experience teams to bring new products and campaigns to life online, all while tracking performance metrics and finding opportunities to optimize.
Key Responsibilities:
Content & Merchandising
- Coordinate daily product uploads, seasonal campaigns, and product releases.
- Audit, review and proof product descriptions to reflect brand voice and drive SEO performance.
- Oversee imagery workflows with internal studios, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Maintain category structure, product tagging, and merchandising rules to support discoverability.
- Conduct ongoing content audits to ensure accuracy and brand alignment.
Operations & Analytics
- Manage the ecommerce release calendar and ensure timely coordination with Marketing, Planning, and Distribution Centres.
- Monitor site health, broken links, and page load performance; flag and escalate issues proactively.
- Track KPIs (conversion, CTR, bounce, sell-through) and prepare weekly reports for leadership.
- Support SEO and AI-driven discovery optimization through metadata and structured data management.
- Partner with Customer Support to resolve product information discrepancies and content issues.
- Research emerging ecommerce and digital merchandising trends to help evolve best practices.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in ecommerce and content strategy.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in ecommerce, digital merchandising, or content operations.
- Proficiency with ecommerce platforms (Shopify Plus preferred) and content management systems.
- Strong written communication and editing skills; attention to accuracy and tone.
- Working knowledge of SEO principles and web analytics tools (GA4, Search Console).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills; thrives in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
- Interest in sneakers, streetwear, or retail culture is highly valued.
