ABOUT THE ROLE
The Marketing Officer works alongside a collaborative team to execute leading-edge marketing campaigns with an emphasis on digital marketing. This role is vital for building the university’s reputation, increasing brand recognition, supporting revenue generation, and strengthening student enrolment in alignment with the university’s strategic plan.
TYPICAL DUTIES
- Campaign Strategy: Create and execute strategic marketing campaigns using display and search advertising, social media, email, print, and broadcast.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with external partners, including marketing agencies, media representatives, and industry vendors.
- Digital Presence: Manage content for paid, earned, and owned digital marketing channels while ensuring coordination across all tactics.
- SEO & UX: Contribute to optimizing online properties (website, landing pages, and social media) for Search Engine Optimization and User Experience.
- Email Marketing: Develop and implement student recruitment email strategies, including list management, testing, and reporting.
- Content Creation: Write, edit, and proofread content for marketing articles, recruitment brochures, web content, and digital advertisements.
- Analytics: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure, analyze, and report on data-driven marketing efforts.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field.
- Professional Experience: Minimum three to five years of relevant experience in data-driven marketing.
- Digital Expertise: Proven experience with Google Analytics, SEO, SEM, PPC, and web Content Management Systems (CMS).
- Social & Media Management: Experience managing advertising programs with traditional and digital media, specifically Google and Meta.
- Project Management: Strong ability to oversee projects from concept to completion, ensuring delivery is on time and within budget.
- Communication: Excellent writing, editing, and oral presentation skills with keen attention to detail.
Valued Assets:
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, MailChimp, Adobe Photoshop, and Asana.
- Experience working in the arts, creative industries, or the post-secondary sector.
