Social Media Content Creator

£30,000/yr

📍 Location: London (Hybrid)

💰 Salary: £30k+ DOE

🕐 Contract: Full-time, permanent

About The Running Channel

We’re a fast-growing, multi-platform media brand for runners, by runners. From social clips and YouTube documentaries to real-world activations and podcasts, we make content that inspires and connects the global running community.

About The Role

As a social media content creator, you’ll be the go-to creative for capturing and editing high-quality, engaging videos across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts. You’ll be excited by all things social media, up to date with current trends, and confident in your ability to ideate, shoot and edit all content autonomously.

You’ll help define what social content looks like for The Running Channel. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to take full ownership of building a brand and generating social media views.

This is a creative doer role. Someone who’s excited to shoot, cut, and experiment daily, and who knows what works on social media right now.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ideate on all short-form content, coming up with new and innovative ideas based on data and algorithms to drive results
  • Take the lead role in shooting and editing all social content, focusing on quick turnarounds and execution
  • Work alongside the Marketing Lead and Marketing Executive to understand the data behind our short-form content to feed into decision making
  • Bring creative ideas to shoots and help shape social storytelling
  • Keep on top of emerging trends, sounds, and styles across platforms
  • Independently manage the full production process, including cross collaboration with the production team to align on shoot days and schedules
  • Confident in upward management – able to ask for what you want from your peers
  • Balance quality with speed – knowing when to be slick and when to be scrappy.

You'll Bring

  • 2–4 years of experience filming and editing social-first video content
  • Experience shooting in unpredictable outdoor environments (rain, mud, race day chaos)
  • The confidence to direct, ask questions and ensure you get the end result required
  • A sharp eye for framing, movement, and pacing
  • Understanding of social trends and what grabs attention in the first 3 seconds
  • A collaborative mindset, you’re a team player who takes initiative
  • Some knowledge of Adobe Suite is preferred but not essential
  • A genuine passion for running (you don’t have to be a marathoner, just love the energy)

What You'll Get

  • Competitive salary (£30k+ DOE)
  • Private health insurance (Vitality)
  • Monthly team lunches
  • Twice-yearly team away days
  • Running shoes and watch allowance
  • Exercise-friendly office (showers, flexible hours for runs)
  • Hybrid working (London HQ)
  • The chance to shape the future of global running content
